Psalms 40:8

To do your will, O my God

8 To do your will, O my God, is my delight,*+ And your law is deep within me.+

Jesus references this in John 4:34.

Isaiah 42:1

My servant, whom I support

42 Look! My servant,+ whom I support! My chosen one,+ whom I have* approved!+ I have put my spirit in him;+ He will bring justice to the nations.+

Matthew 12:18 refers to this scripture and confirms it is speaking of Jesus.

Isaiah 50:4

Jehovah has given me the tongue of those taught

The Sovereign Lord Jehovah has given me the tongue of those taught,*+ So that I may know how to answer* the tired one with the right word.*+ He awakens me morning by morning; He awakens my ear to listen like the taught ones.+

Matthew 13:54 refers to this in Jesus knowing without being taught.

Isaiah 52:13

My servant will act with insight

13 Look! My servant+ will act with insight. He will be raised up high,He will be elevated and greatly exalted.+

Isaiah 53:10

it was Jehovah’s will to crush him

10 But it was Jehovah’s will* to crush him, and he let him become sick.If you will present his life* as a guilt offering,+He will see his offspring,* he will prolong his days,+And through him the delight* of Jehovah will have success.+

Zechariah 9:9

Humble and riding on a donkey

34 Jesus said to them: “My food is to do the will of him who sent me+ and to finish his work.+

John 5:19

the Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative

I seek not my own will

I have not come of my own initiative

42 Jesus said to them: “If God were your Father, you would love me,+ for I came from God and I am here. I have not come of my own initiative, but that One sent me.+

If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing

54 Jesus answered: “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me,+ the one who you say is your God.

This commandment I received from my Father
